04 May, 2021, Uttrakhand – Forest fires broke out at 64 places in Uttarakhand in 24 hours. During this period, two people died, after which CM Dhami called a high level meeting.
CM Dhami held an important meeting amid increasing incidents of forest fire. The Chief Minister joined the VC from Delhi itself. He reviewed the action plan of the Forest Department. Top officials of the government in Dehradun Secretariat were present in this meeting. Chief Minister Dhami gave necessary guidelines to the officials.
Forest fire flared up further in Uttarakhand on Friday. 64 incidents of forest fire have been reported within 24 hours. At the same time, the fire that broke out in the forest of Sunrakot in Someshwar has taken a heavy toll on two Nepalese families. A worker died on the spot on Thursday after being caught in the forest fire.
The second worker died at Base Hospital late on Thursday night while the female worker died at Sushila Tiwari Hospital (STH) in Haldwani. Another female worker is undergoing treatment in Haldwani. After which, today on Saturday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called a high level meeting regarding forest fire prevention.
