NEW DELHI, May 25— Two people were killed and four others injured after a fire broke out at an e-rickshaw charging station on Moti Ram Road in Shahdara on Sunday morning, officials from the Delhi Fire Department confirmed.

Emergency services received a distress call from the charging facility and immediately dispatched fire tenders to the scene. Despite swift response, the blaze had already engulfed the tin-shed structure, which spanned approximately 400 square yards.

“Two charred bodies were recovered from the site,” a fire department official said. “Four individuals with injuries were evacuated and shifted to GTB Hospital for treatment.”

The fire caused total destruction of the charging station infrastructure. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze and assessing whether safety protocols were in place.
