New Delhi, Sep 10: Apple unveiled its iPhone 17 lineup, priced between Rs 82,900 and Rs 2,29,900, with sales in India set to begin on September 19.
The series has three models — iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max — dropping the “Plus” variant from earlier launches. The company also introduced its slimmest device yet, the iPhone Air, measuring 5.6 millimeters thick and supporting only eSIMs.
The base iPhone 17 starts at Rs 82,900, available in 256GB and 512GB storage options in lavender, mist blue, sage, white, and black. With a 6.3-inch display, the model replaces the iPhone 16 Plus, which was priced higher at Rs 89,900 for the same storage. Apple said the new A19 chipset makes the iPhone 17 20% faster than its predecessor and offers up to eight additional hours of video playback.
The iPhone 17 Pro, starting at Rs 1,34,900, will be offered in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max, beginning at Rs 1,49,900, adds a first-ever 2TB capacity. Both will be available in cosmic orange, deep blue, and silver. “iPhone 17 Pro is the most advanced iPhone ever, featuring a striking new design and powerful capability,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said.
Customers in more than 63 countries, including India, can pre-order the new iPhones from September 12, with deliveries starting September 19.
The iPhone Air series, priced from Rs 1,19,900, will offer 256GB to 1TB storage.
Alongside, Apple also launched the Apple Watch Ultra 3, featuring built-in satellite communication for messaging, emergency texts, and location sharing even off-network. The watch is priced at Rs 89,900 and will also be available in India from September 19.
