New Delhi, March 12: Supreme Court has approved the bail applications of Jagtar Singh and Pawan Bishnoi, both of whom were booked in connection with the high-profile Sidhu Moosewala murder case. The court’s decision was informed by the progress of the ongoing trial and the length of time the accused have already spent behind bars.
The brutal attack on the Punjabi rapper in Mansa district shocked the global music industry and triggered a multi-state police operation. Investigators declared that six shooters carried out the execution under orders from gang leaders operating both locally and from abroad. Satinderjit Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, was asserted to be a main mastermind who handled the operation from a foreign base.
The Punjab Police chargesheet detailed the roles of various individuals, including those who provided logistics and reconnaissance. Sandeep Singh Kekra was noted for tracking Moosewala’s movements, while others like Manu Dagar and Priyavrat were named for their roles in providing weaponry and executing the shooting.
Despite the release of these two individuals, the state government maintained that the core prosecution remains robust. A total of 27 people face charges in the case, which is being heard in the Mansa trial court. Authorities declared that the search for absconding suspects continues, even as the judicial process moves forward for those currently in custody.
