Moga, April 5: During a visit to Moga on April 4, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann unveiled a massive infrastructure package designed to modernize urban facilities and provide relief to the agricultural heartland. The plan includes ₹88.62 crore for municipal works, ranging from the redevelopment of main bazaars to the construction of a multi-storey community hall and a dedicated street vending zone.

The Chief Minister asserted that the current administration is utilizing taxpayers’ money for schools, hospitals, and roads rather than allowing it to be lost to corruption. He maintained that the government’s “Rozgar Kranti” has already provided over 65,000 merit-based jobs, further stabilizing the state’s economy.

“Quality education is the panacea for poverty,” Mann affirmed while discussing the state’s long-term strategy for prosperity.

In a significant move for rural safety, the Chief Minister declared that the government is exploring a project to move high-tension wires underground. He stated that this initiative, starting in his native village, aims to eliminate the fire risks these wires pose to standing crops.

Regarding the upcoming wheat harvest, the Chief Minister affirmed that the state will not succumb to pressure from any external groups. He maintained that the procurement quota for cooperative societies would be increased to ensure a seamless experience for farmers at the mandis.

The administration also highlighted the success of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, with the Chief Minister urging residents to enroll for the ₹10 lakh cashless treatment benefit. Officials asserted that with 90% of households now receiving zero electricity bills and expanded canal water access, the government is successfully delivering on its foundational promises.
