CHANDIGARH, APRIL 18 — A national-level summit on Artificial Intelligence organized by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) wrapped up on Saturday, marking a major step in the state’s digital education strategy. The conference, supported by Google, Intel, and IKG PTU, aimed to prepare the academic ecosystem for a future where AI is a central tool for both teaching and administration.

During the concluding session, officials asserted that the primary goal is to empower students to be “creators, not consumers.” Dr. Amarpal Singh, Chairman of PSEB, declared that technology should enhance learning without compromising core values. He stated that students have been encouraged to use AI responsibly and within a clear framework, ensuring that ethical choices guide their digital interactions.

A workshop led by Neeev AI provided students with hands-on experience in AI-based applications, fostering an early understanding of how these technologies are built. Simultaneously, school principals attended sessions on how to uphold academic standards in an environment where AI-generated work is becoming more common. Officials noted that these discussions are essential for equipping school leaders with the skills needed for modern academic management.

The event underscored the readiness of Punjab’s educators and administrators to adopt AI-driven approaches. Government representatives affirmed that the collaboration with industry giants like Intel has provided practical training on data privacy and responsible usage within the workplace. The Chairman noted that the conference has successfully sensitized the youth toward the diverse skill sets required to build emerging technologies, paving the way for future career pathways in the tech sector.
