New Delhi, May 14: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has termed the NEET paper leak a “betrayal” of the youth, asserting that the Centre has failed to protect the dreams of students across the country. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Mann stated that the examination system’s integrity has been compromised, dealing a severe blow to those who had dedicated years to their studies. He affirmed that the Union government must be held accountable for this administrative failure.

The Chief Minister also raised concerns regarding the use of intimidation against public figures who refuse to align with the ruling party at the Centre. He stated that after Diljit Dosanjh declined to join politics, he has faced a campaign of threats. Mann suggested that the BJP’s interest in artists stems from their wide public acceptance, and the recent pressure on Dosanjh is a direct consequence of his refusal to cooperate. “Since Diljit Singh declined the BJP’s offer, politics of intimidation has begun against him,” Mann declared.

Regarding the political landscape in Punjab, the Chief Minister asserted that the AAP government would run on its record of delivery. He stated that the party’s poll plank would center on the concept of “Rangla Punjab,” which emphasizes holistic development and public welfare. Mann noted that students from the state are now excelling in competitive exams like JEE and NEET due to improved educational standards under his administration.

Mann stated that the provision of free electricity and healthcare services remains a cornerstone of the party’s agenda. He affirmed that the government would approach the electorate with a transparent and development-heavy platform. “We will go to the people with the agenda of development, welfare and honest governance. Punjab is witnessing holistic development and the people are supporting these initiatives wholeheartedly,” the Chief Minister affirmed.
