PATIALA: The Indian Institute of Architects Punjab Chapter announced its new governing body following elections held across its various state centers, with prominent architect Pritpal Singh Ahluwalia emerging victorious as Chairman.
Ahluwalia won the mandate with 61 per cent of the votes cast in the digital polling process.
The newly constituted state leadership includes Vice Chairman Dinesh Bhagat, Joint Secretaries Rajan Tangri and Sanjay Kumar, and Treasurer R.S. Sandhu, supported by a ten-member executive committee drawn from key industrial and urban centers across Punjab.
The election cycle also determined new office bearers for local chapters, establishing Indu Arora as Chairperson and Sangeeta Rani as Vice-Chairperson of the Patiala Center. Sanjeev K. Goyal assumes the role of Honorary Treasurer for Patiala, with Rani Madhu, Harpreet Singh, and Bhavika Goyal serving as Executive Members.
The comprehensive voting exercise brought together professionals from active chapters operating in Mohali, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala, Bathinda, Kapurthala, and Hoshiarpur.
Expressing appreciation to the membership for their trust, Chairman Ahluwalia maintained that the primary objective of the incoming council will be fostering unity, expanding professional opportunities, and facilitating knowledge sharing among practitioners.
He affirmed that the Punjab Chapter will actively engage with government stakeholders and civic bodies to elevate professional standards. Architecture leaders and senior fraternity members formally honored the newly elected leadership team following the declaration of results.
