NEW DELHI, OCT 12: Chief Justice of India Surya Kant refrained from expressing any view on the proposed march to the Supreme Court scheduled by Congress leaders on Monday.
The letter addressed to the Chief Justice by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had outlined plans for the demonstration alongside their request for an interaction.
While formal communication from the CJI’s office clearly addressed the refusal of the meeting on constitutional grounds, sources affirmed that the top judge expressed no opinion on the political march itself.
The court maintained that any grievances regarding the administrative action must be brought through standard judicial channels rather than informal dialogue or political representation.
