Chandigarh, Nov 7: Medical specialists at PGIMER Chandigarh concluded the post-mortem procedures for Mansa resident Parvinder Singh Jhota on Saturday, clearing the way for his final rites.

Action committee spokesperson declared that the public appeal issued earlier had requested well-wishers to await updated schedules, as the completion of formal procedures extended into Saturday afternoon.

Community leaders affirmed that the activist was fatally wounded during an October 13 incident at a local commercial establishment in Mansa, which also left four associates injured.

Administrative sources maintained that discussions between civil officials and local representatives facilitated the transfer of the remains from the district hospital to PGIMER for detailed examination.

Local authorities confirmed that comprehensive preparations have been finalized near Chakerian Road to ensure orderly proceedings during the upcoming gathering in Mansa.
