17 Diarrhoea Cases Reported in Madanpur Village, Mohali

by TheReportingTimes

Mohali, Apr 27 — A total of 17 diarrhoea cases have been reported from Madanpur village, Phase-1, over the past week, with health authorities attributing the outbreak to low water intake due to rising temperatures.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Sangeeta Jain confirmed that the cases had increased from 14 to 17 but assured that no new cases have emerged.

“All patients have recovered,” she added.

In response, the health department distributed medicines and ORS packets to residents and conducted door-to-door screenings to monitor health conditions and prevent further cases.

Dr. Harman Kaur from Phase-6 Civil Hospital mentioned that the area faced water supply issues for two days, and water samples have been collected for analysis.

To assess the situation, Mohali Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi visited the village and reviewed the ongoing efforts.
