Abohar, September 19: Jatinder Kaur, an artist from Bhagu village in Abohar, has earned a place in the World Records Book of India after creating 50 miniature landscape paintings on buttons in just two hours.

Using only sketch pens, Kaur transformed the tiny surfaces into vibrant artworks, each telling a different story. The record was certified under the title “Maximum Miniature Paintings on Buttons in a Short Time.”

“This is more than art — this is history,” said the organisers in a social media post, praising her innovation. The jury commended the effort as a blend of technical skill, creativity, and patience, noting that her work will inspire future generations.

Expressing her happiness, Kaur said, “I have always wanted to do something different. My aim is to show that art is not limited to canvas; it can be captured on any medium. This achievement is dedicated to advancing the art and culture of Punjab.”

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at DAV College of Education in Abohar, Kaur has been awarded a medal and certificate for her accomplishment. Locals, fellow artists, and students hailed the feat as proof that ordinary objects can become extraordinary with dedication and imagination.

Her recognition not only places Abohar on the artistic map but also gives a fresh dimension to Punjab’s creative traditions.
