Amritsar Airport Reopens for Civil Operations

by TheReportingTimes

Amritsar, May 12 — Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport officially resumed all commercial and civil flight operations—both domestic and international—on Monday, following the recent easing of airspace restrictions.

Airport authorities confirmed that all required safety checks and operational preparations have been completed. The facility is now fully functional and ready to accommodate regular air traffic.

“The airport is now ready and open for all commercial, civil, domestic, and international flight operations,” said Suman Das, public relations officer at the airport.

Passengers have been advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest updates on flight schedules, as services resume in a phased manner.

The reopening marks a key step in restoring connectivity across the region after flight suspensions impacted several northern airports amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
