Ayodhya, 11 January 2025- The first anniversary celebrations of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya started on Saturday with a large number of devotees reaching the holy city to take part in events.
The Ram Temple complex will host religious and cultural events beginning on Saturday. The Yajurveda was recited to kick off the anniversary festivities.
The ‘abhishek’ of Ram Lalla will be performed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Around 12.20 pm, the deity will have his grand aarti, after which 56 dishes will be offered to him.

Anup Mishra, a local resident who has reached the temple to witness the anniversary celebrations, was quoted by Hindustan Times saying, “We were not able to reach the Ram Janmabhoomi when the Pran Pratishtha was done in January 2024, but this time we are fortunate enough to reach the court of Ram Lalla on the first anniversary.”
Another devotee, Sarla Maheshwari who has come from Bhopal, said, “We reached Ayodhya two days ago to take part in the anniversary celebrations, and felt excited that today we will see the deity.”
According to the temple trust, the festivities, which are set for January 11–13, are intended to bring together approximately 110 invited VIPs and regular people who were unable to attend the historic ceremony the previous year.
At the Angad Teela location, a German hangar tent that can accommodate up to 5,000 people has been set up. The grand event will be open to the general public and will feature daily Ram Katha discourses at the pavilion and Yagnashala, as well as traditional cultural performances and rituals.
