Chandigarh, March 28: Aam Aadmi Party leader Baltej Pannu confirmed on March 28 that the Punjab government’s ‘Gangsters te Vaar’ campaign is achieving major milestones through fearless public assistance. Following the launch of a specialized helpline, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has processed hundreds of tips, leading to immediate law enforcement interventions across the state.

The media incharge shared that out of the 590 complaints received so far, 86 were related to illegal arms and 83 concerned drug smuggling. Furthermore, the helpline saw 35 reports of ransom demands and 43 complaints specifically identifying gangster-linked operations. Pannu stated that this data-driven approach has allowed the police to target high-priority criminals more effectively.

“The people of Punjab have full faith in the Anti-Gangster Task Force and the intentions of the Mann Government,” Pannu asserted. He maintained that the success of the AGTF is directly tied to this unwavering public trust, which has empowered the state to take swift action against organized crime.

According to the state media office, the current campaign will continue until the threat of gangsterism is completely eradicated. Pannu declared that the government is committed to maintaining a safe atmosphere and will not spare any individual involved in destabilizing the state’s peace. He added that the administration is currently conducting detailed investigations into the remaining complaints to ensure comprehensive legal follow-up.
