Brar blames Bishnoi faction for “trap” that led to Parry’s death

by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh, Dec 3: Hours after UT police recovered a white Hyundai Creta suspected to have been used in the killing of Inderpreet Singh, alias Parry, gangster Goldy Brar released a voice message accusing the Lawrence Bishnoi faction of orchestrating the murder of “their own friend.”

Parry, 32, was shot dead in Sector 26 on Monday evening. The abandoned SUV, registered as PB 10 DN 5333, was found near an Axis Bank branch opposite Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula. CCTV footage from Sector 5 later showed two men leaving the vehicle on a motorcycle.

In his message, Brar said Parry had been loyal to the Bishnoi group and rejected accusations that he was working for Brar or extorting from clubs. “Parry had done nothing to deserve such a death,” Brar said, adding that Lawrence “called his own friend out and had him killed.” He said the victim’s family had supported Lawrence for years, “even sending food during his court hearings.”

Police sources said Parry met an unidentified man outside a club in Sector 26 minutes before the attack. The man allegedly led him away on the pretext of discussing a “personal matter” with Lawrence over the phone. Investigators suspect the call may have been used to confirm the execution.

The Bishnoi gang claimed on Facebook that Parry was eliminated for aligning with syndicates linked to Brar or Rohit Godara. Brar dismissed this as fabrication. Police said both the Facebook post and Brar’s audio are under forensic review.

Parry’s elder brother, an ASI posted in Mohali, said the family remains shocked. “He dropped his wife at a salon, went to meet his friends and told them he was stepping out for a while. We don’t know why he was targeted,” he said. He added that Parry and Lawrence “knew each other since their DAV College days.”

Investigators believe the first shot was fired from inside Parry’s vehicle by someone sitting in the front passenger seat, followed by additional rounds from the assailants who approached in the Creta. A total of 11 bullets were fired.

Several suspects, including people present at the Kala Ghoda club, have been detained. Police teams are now reviewing phone records, digital footprints and footage from multiple cameras across Chandigarh and Panchkula.

Parry’s postmortem was completed at PGIMER around 4:30 p.m., and his last rites are scheduled for Wednesday.
