Chandigarh, November 12, 2025 — The Punjab government will hold a three-day ‘Pensioner Sewa Mela’ from November 13 to 15 at District Treasury Offices across the state, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema announced on Tuesday. The event will help pensioners complete mandatory e-KYC registration on the newly launched Pensioner Sewa Portal.
Cheema said the initiative is part of the state’s effort to consolidate pension services digitally. “Pensioners can register themselves and access pension-related services in a convenient and straightforward manner,” he noted. The portal was launched on November 3, 2025, and serves as a one-stop digital platform for all pension-related requirements.
Services available on the portal include submission of digital life certificates through the ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ mobile app, applying for conversion of pension into family pension, Leave Travel Concession (LTC) applications, grievance registration, and updating personal details. The ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ app is available on both Android and iOS.
Once registered, pensioners can access services from home using their login credentials via mobile phones, PCs, or laptops. Cheema added that services can also be obtained at Sewa Kendras, Pension Disbursing Banks, District Treasury Offices, or through home delivery requests.
To address issues efficiently, a War Room has been established at the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Pension and New Pension Scheme. The Directorate has designated three helpline numbers — 18001802148, 01722996385, and 01722996386 — operational on working days from 9 AM to 5 PM to resolve pensioner complaints.
