CHANDIGARH, Dec 19— Haryana woke up to thick fog and low temperatures on Friday, as the winter chill intensified across the state, officials said. Ambala recorded the highest minimum at 10.4°C, about three degrees above normal, while Narnaul dropped to 5.1°C.
Other cities also registered cold temperatures: Hisar 9.5°C, Rohtak 9.2°C, Bhiwani 6°C, and Sirsa 7.6°C. Meteorologists warned that fog in several areas could disrupt morning travel and advised drivers to exercise caution.
“The dense fog not only reduced visibility but also contributed to a sharp dip in temperatures across northern Haryana,” a weather department spokesperson said.
