Abohar, December 5 — A woman returning from a wedding in Ludhiana died after the car carrying her family collided with a tractor-trolley near Balluana Colony, officials said.
The victims, residents of Tara Estate Colony, were travelling home when the vehicle hit the trolley after the driver reportedly lost control. Sunita, who was seated in the car with her husband Sushil Mittal, daughter Aastha and niece Muskan, sustained severe injuries.
She was taken to a private hospital and later shifted to the Civil Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The remaining passengers escaped with minor injuries.
Family members said Sunita was a close relative of Rohtash Gupta, a prominent sweets-shop owner in the region.
