May 9,2025:IPL 2025: Cricket Australia keeps a close eye on the current hostilities between Pakistan and India. In a statement, Cricket Australia said it is monitoring the situation. The IPL 2025 will include a large number of Australian players. A flood light issue forced the cancellation of the Punjab Kings vs. Delhi Capitals game at Dharamsala.
According to a statement released by Cricket Australia, we are continuously keeping an eye on the situation in Pakistan and India. This includes keeping in touch with our players and support staff who are currently in the region and getting regular advice and updates from the Australian Government, PCB, BCCI, and local government officials.
Dhumal had made a comment regarding the IPL’s continuation
Arun Dhumal, the IPL chairman, had earlier stated on Thursday that the BCCI is seeking directives from the Indian government for IPL 2025. Dhumal further affirmed that, under the existing circumstances, the 18th season of the IPL will go on. Following the cancellation of the Punjab vs. Delhi match, new information began emerging. According to news agency PTI, there remained uncertainty surrounding the league’s remaining games. PTI claims that international league participants had voiced security worries. On this, BCCI had a meeting. Arun Dhumal addressed the media following the meeting.
On Friday, the Lucknow Super Giants will play the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL. Dhumal had responded, “At the moment, this match is going on, but the situation is still changing,” when questioned about it. The best interests of all parties involved will be considered when making a judgment.
