Chandigarh, 22 December 2024: Haryana is bracing for harsher winter conditions as a yellow alert for dense fog has been issued across 15 districts. The Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in southwestern parts on December 23, which is expected to bring a sharper plunge in temperatures.

On Saturday, the highest temperature in the state was recorded in Sirsa at 23.8 degrees Celsius, while Hisar registered the lowest at 2.5 degrees Celsius. The weather is expected to remain dry from December 24 to 26, following the rain.

The cold spell is further compounded by poor air quality in the region. Rohtak reported an AQI of 387 this morning, while Faridabad, Charkhi Dadri, and Gurugram recorded AQI levels at 372, 350, and 323, respectively, highlighting the state’s worsening pollution crisis.
