Patiala, November 16 — A sea of devotees gathered on Sunday to mark the 29th death anniversary of Subedar Bapu Kartar Singh Dhaliwal, transforming the venue into a space of prayer, remembrance and community warmth. The Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib was performed, followed by kirtan steeped in Ras Bhihri Bani, drawing thousands who came to pay homage.
The Dhaliwal and Rakhra families, led by Darshan Singh Dhaliwal, Surjit Singh Rakhra and Charanjit Singh Rakhra, extended heartfelt thanks to the devotees and the many religious and political personalities who joined the ceremony.
A wide spectrum of prominent figures attended, including Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar) president Giani Harpreet Singh, Dera Beas chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, Sant Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale, Namdhari leaders and several other well-known spiritual guides.

In his address, Giani Harpreet Singh said such commemorative gatherings were vital for cultural continuity, enabling younger generations to learn about the service and values of elders. Sant Dhadrianwale lauded the Rakhra family for maintaining an unblemished reputation in public life, calling them a source of pride for the region.

Leaders from across political parties, members of the SGPC and respected community figures also attended. Throughout the day, the sangat partook in Guru ka Langar, and the arrangements by the organising committee drew warm appreciation.

A deep sense of peace, reverence and collective belonging marked the entire event, reflecting the enduring respect held for Bapu Kartar Singh Dhaliwal.
