Mumbai, April 10: Actor Danish Pandor has responded to the viral “Hamza plus Uzair” fan fiction and video edits that have emerged following the release of the Dhurandhar films. During a digital Q&A session, Pandor asserted that he finds the audience’s creative takes on his character’s bond with Ranveer Singh’s Hamza to be a humorous byproduct of the film’s success.
Responding to inquiries about whether he was aware of the romanticized fan edits, Pandor affirmed that he had come across many of them after being tagged by followers. He maintained that he laughed out loud at the content and stated that he appreciates the enthusiasm of the fan base. Pandor declared that the various interpretations of the characters show how deeply the public has engaged with the Dhurandhar universe.
The actor took the opportunity to discuss his experience working on the high-stakes action franchise, which features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna. Pandor maintained that his role as the Karachi-based second-in-command was a pivotal moment in his career. He stated that the project pushed his boundaries as a performer and allowed him to move into grittier territory than his previous roles.
Regarding his collaboration with Ranveer Singh, Pandor declared that Singh is a secure and confident professional. He affirmed that they had no prior acquaintance before the film but formed a positive connection during the production process. Pandor stated that Singh’s humble nature made the experience of filming the intense scenes much more rewarding.
The Dhurandhar series continues to set box office records, with the latest sequel surpassing the domestic earnings of its predecessor. Pandor affirmed that the scale of the production, backed by Jio Studios, has provided a significant platform for newer members of the cast to reach a national audience.
