Mumbai, Dec 12: Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar crossed ₹200 crore at the domestic box office on Thursday, capping an unusually strong first week driven by consistent weekday earnings. Early estimates from Sacnilk peg the film’s total at ₹207.25 crore after it added about ₹27 crore on December 11.
The film opened on December 5 to heavy footfalls, generating ₹103 crore in its first three days. Collections rose steadily through the weekend, peaking at ₹43 crore on Sunday before settling into a firm weekday pattern.
Monday brought in ₹23.25 crore, while both Tuesday and Wednesday recorded ₹27 crore each—figures that trade analysts say indicate sustained audience interest. Thursday’s numbers were in the same range, pushing the film past the ₹200-crore milestone.
Trade expert Taran Adarsh said the trend reflects the film’s strong connect with viewers. “Dhurandhar has been embraced wholeheartedly by moviegoers,” he said. “The weekday hold is exceptional and shows the film is headed for a long run.”
Featuring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles, the ensemble drama also stars Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. The producers have announced that the sequel is slated for release on March 19, 2026.
