Mohali, November 28, 2025 — Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh inaugurated the two-day FAP National Awards 2025 at Chandigarh University on Thursday, honoring schools, teachers, principals, and students for excellence in academics, sports, and culture.

Speaking at the event, the Governor said, “Private institutions are pivotal in raising the standard of education. More children from weaker sections must have access to quality private schooling.”

Ghosh further said that India’s educational progress mirrors Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership, noting that historic reforms have positioned the country as a global education hub.

Chancellor of Chandigarh University and Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu said teachers and private institutions will play an essential role in achieving the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat and a developed nation by 2047.

On the first day, 782 schools, principals, teachers, and meritorious students from 18 states and union territories were recognized for their outstanding contributions to education, sports, and cultural activities.
