Patiala, 13 January 2025- The hunger strike of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, leader of the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) non-political, continued for the 49th day on Lohri. After checking Dallewal, the doctors said that his bones have started shrinking, which is very worrying.
Meanwhile, the leaders of both the political and non-political factions of SKM have announced that they will meet at Patran in Patiala on Monday to formulate a joint strategy for the struggle against the Center. Earlier this meeting was to be held in Patiala on January 15.
In the meeting, it was also decided to celebrate Lohri on January 13 by burning copies of the draft of the agricultural marketing policy of the Central Government.

On the other hand, 80-year-old farmer Jagga Singh, a resident of Faridkot district, who was admitted to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala in critical condition after suffering a stroke in Khanauri recently, died late Saturday night. Jagga Singh was steadfast in the farmers’ movement going on in Khanauri for ten months. On Sunday, a meeting of the leaders of the organizations associated with SKM non-political was held in Khanauri.
In the meeting, the leaders told that ‘SKM political’ has agreed to a joint meeting in Patran on January 13 instead of January 15. In such a situation, the leaders of both the factions will meet in Patran and make a joint strategy to start a big struggle against the central government.
Haryana farmers joined in
Let us tell you that in view of the continuously deteriorating health of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, the non-political faction had appealed to the other faction on Saturday to hold a joint meeting before January 15. On Sunday a large number of farmers from Haryana’s Hisar district reached Khanauri and announced to support Dallewal’s struggle.
Along with this, they warned that if anything happens to Dallewal, the central government will also have to bear the brunt of it.
