by TheReportingTimes

BULDHANA, April 2: Five people died in a collision involving a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus, a Bolero SUV, and a private bus on the Khamgaon-Shegaon highway early Tuesday, police said.

The accident occurred around 5:30 am when the MSRTC bus crashed into a speeding Bolero. Moments later, a private bus rammed into the wreckage, further worsening the impact.

“The crash was severe, leaving the private bus’s front cabin completely shattered. The driver was trapped, and rescue teams are working to free him,” a police officer said.

The MSRTC bus and Bolero also sustained heavy damage, with debris scattered across the highway, temporarily halting traffic. Emergency teams and local police responded swiftly.

Authorities have yet to identify the deceased. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
