Kaithal, May 25 —Kaithal police have arrested four additional juveniles in connection with the brutal murder of two teenage boys in Barta village, bringing the total number of minors detained in the case to 11, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Bir Bhan said the newly apprehended suspects, all between 15 and 16 years old, were directly involved in the killings. “They played an active role in the crime and have been sent to a juvenile detention centre as per court directions,” he stated.
Earlier, seven juveniles had already been arrested in the same case.
The investigation began after Rohatash, a resident of Barta, filed a missing persons complaint on May 18, reporting that his son, Prince, and nephew, Armaan, had not returned home. Their bodies were discovered the following day near a village drain, bearing multiple stab wounds inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon.
Police have not yet disclosed a motive, but the scale and nature of juvenile involvement have shocked the community. Investigations are ongoing.
