Lucknow, Oct 6: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday outlined Uttar Pradesh’s transition into an electronics and artificial intelligence leader, pointing to major industrial developments across the state. In a detailed post on X ahead of an HCLTech decade-celebration event in Lucknow, Adityanath cited major infrastructure investments, including the ₹3,706-crore HCL-Foxconn semiconductor unit in Jewar and expanding data center networks totaling 644 MW in proposals.

The state’s manufacturing output has expanded dramatically over the past nine and a half years, now generating more than half of India’s electronic components and six out of every ten mobile devices made in the country. The Chief Minister emphasized that this growth ecosystem nurtures over 24,000 startups, allowing local youth to become job creators rather than job seekers.

Addressing governance before 2017, the Chief Minister noted that criminal influence and political nepotism previously stalled development projects and deterred potential investors.

“The double-engine government has translated PM Modi’s vision into reality in Uttar Pradesh by linking policy, investment and production,” declared Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, asserting that government priorities shifted decisively toward security, technology, and economic expansion.

Economic officials highlighted that growing electronics production naturally built momentum for data infrastructure and advanced AI applications.

“From assembly to AI, this journey is not merely about technology, but also about employment, entrepreneurship and prosperity for the state’s youth,” affirmed the Chief Minister, who maintained that initiatives like AI-Pragya will connect one million young individuals to future-ready careers.

The state government reaffirmed its commitment to the “Viksit Bharat-Viksit Uttar Pradesh” roadmap as new technological skilling centers open to support long-term economic growth.
