Bengaluru, April 24: Two-time world champion Anderson Peters of Grenada and Germany’s Olympic gold medallist Thomas Rohler are among the top international names set to compete in the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025, scheduled for May 24 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
Billed as a World Athletics Gold Label event, the meet is being jointly organised by Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra and JSW Sports, in partnership with the Athletics Federation of India and World Athletics.
Other confirmed athletes include Kenya’s Julius Yego, USA’s Curtis Thompson, Japan’s Genki Dean, Brazil’s Luiz Mauricio da Silva and Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage—all medal-winners and record-holders on the global and continental circuits.
Organisers said India’s javelin lineup will be announced soon.
