Ayodhya, June 6: Mukesh Patel, a diamond merchant from Surat, Gujarat, has donated a stunning collection of ornaments—including 11 diamond-studded crowns, a golden bow and arrow, and several other intricately crafted items—to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, according to Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) officials.

Patel, who owns the renowned jewellery brand Green Lab, sent the offerings to Ayodhya via a special chartered aircraft, highlighting the scale and spiritual significance of the donation.

Dinesh Newadia, national treasurer of the VHP, confirmed the details:

“Mukesh Patel has donated 11 crowns made of diamonds, 30 kilograms of silver, 300 grams of gold, and rubies.”

The extensive list of ornaments includes:

  • Necklaces, earrings, forehead tilaks (ornamental forehead marks)
  • Seven bows (four large and three small) representing the four Ramayana brothers
  • Four quivers, three maces, and ceremonial fly whisks

The offerings are part of the ongoing efforts to enrich the Ram Temple complex, where construction and ornamentation are being overseen by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

This announcement follows the second major consecration ceremony at the temple, held on Thursday, during which ‘Raja Ram’ (Lord Rama in his royal form) was consecrated along with idols installed in eight newly constructed temples within the complex. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present at the ceremony.

The first major consecration occurred on January 22, 2024, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the historic installation of Ram Lalla, the child form of Lord Rama.

The Ram temple continues to receive lavish contributions from across India, as devotees seek to offer symbolic tributes to what many consider a once-in-a-generation spiritual milestone.
