Gurugram, March 27: Commuters in Gurugram should prepare for route changes as the Municipal Corporation begins road construction on Basai Road starting Friday. The project, which spans from March 28 to the afternoon of March 30, will affect the area surrounding the Sector 10 Civil Hospital. Officials maintained that the construction window has been restricted to the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to minimize daytime disruptions, though some segments may stay closed until the work is finalized on Sunday morning.

Executive Engineer Pradeep Kumar stated that the MCG has requested additional traffic police support to manage the flow of vehicles. He affirmed that maintaining access for emergency services remains the top priority of the diversion plan. According to the engineer, specific alternative paths have been mapped out for those needing to reach the medical facility from the Basai side of the city.

The notification from the Department of Revenue’s municipal wing indicated that the road might be fully blocked at certain intervals to ensure worker safety. Officials declared that the three-day window is intended to provide enough time for the material to set and for the road to be cleared of heavy machinery. They asserted that the cooperation of the public is essential for the smooth execution of these necessary repairs.

Signage will be installed at key intersections to direct traffic away from the affected site. The authorities maintained that the project was scheduled over the weekend to further reduce the burden on weekday office traffic. Motorists are encouraged to use digital navigation tools to stay updated on real-time traffic conditions in the Sector 10 vicinity during the maintenance period.
