Chandigarh, March 29 — The Haryana assembly formally adopted Jai Jai Haryana as the state song on the concluding day of the budget session on Friday.
The proposal, presented by a committee formed for the song’s selection, was unanimously passed through a voice vote.
Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said the state song should have guidelines similar to the national anthem.
Jai Jai Haryana was played in the House following the vote.
