Himachal Weather Alert: 10 Districts on Caution for Heavy Rainfall Spells

Shimla, July 27: Monsoon activity continues across Himachal Pradesh, with state weather authorities advising vigilance in ten districts prone to localized rain spells.

The warning covers key tourist and agricultural centers including Mandi, Kangra, Kullu, Shimla, Solan, Chamba, Sirmaur, and the high-altitude region of Lahaul and Spiti.

“Dry weather will prevail over unalerted parts of the state, even as specific pockets receive heavy showers,” declared the weather forecasting center.

Temperature readings across various stations showed Kalpa at 16.2°C, Keylong at 13.6°C, Kufri at 15.8°C, and Dharamshala reporting 18.6°C.

Plain regions recorded higher night readings, with Bilaspur reaching 25.5°C, Hamirpur at 25.1°C, and Mandi touching 24.7°C.

The Meteorological Centre confirmed that maximum temperatures across Himachal are likely to tick up by 2°C to 3°C as cloud cover clears intermittently during afternoon hours.
