Hisar-Ayodhya Flight Leaves Passengers Stranded, AC Fails Onboard

by TheReportingTimes

HISAR, May 26 — Passengers aboard an Alliance Air flight from Hisar to Ayodhya on May 23 have raised serious concerns over the airline’s service quality, citing a non-functional air-conditioning system and a last-minute diversion on the return leg that left them stranded in Delhi.

A video circulating online shows elderly passengers using newspapers to cool themselves during the stifling journey. “The AC was barely circulating air. It felt suffocating,” said one passenger.

The Agarsain Bhawan Trust, which had sponsored the travel of 11 senior citizens to Ayodhya, termed the experience “negligent” and announced plans to file a consumer court case. Trust president Anjani Kumar Khariawala said the situation worsened during the return on May 25, when passengers were informed at the Ayodhya airport that their flight would terminate in Delhi instead of Hisar.

Despite earlier emails about delays, passengers were told the diversion was due to bad weather in Hisar — a claim disputed by locals who reported clear skies.

Passengers were left to arrange their own transport back home after being deboarded at Delhi Airport around 8 pm.

Alliance Air, which launched the Hisar-Ayodhya-Delhi route on March 14, has faced multiple complaints of mismanagement, poor amenities, and lack of communication. Airline manager Ranjan Datta declined immediate comment, stating he was in a meeting.

Frustrated passengers have since demanded compensation for the ordeal.
