Hoshiarpur, Jan 1 — Three men lost their lives while another was seriously injured after an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle in the Garhshankar area of Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district on Thursday, police said.
The incident occurred near the Water Supply Office in Borha village when four men were riding on a two-wheeler, officials said.
Following the collision, local residents alerted the police, who rushed to the scene and shifted the victims to the Civil Hospital in Garhshankar.
“Three of the victims succumbed to their injuries, while the fourth has been admitted and is undergoing treatment,” a police official said.
Police said the vehicle involved fled the scene after the accident. Efforts are underway to identify and trace it.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is in progress.
