NEW DELHI, AUGUST 12 — Peace and stability along the Line of Actual Control remain indispensable for maintaining broader diplomatic ties, the Ministry of External Affairs declared while confirming that active dialogue mechanisms are addressing recent frontier developments in Arunachal Pradesh.
Refuting foreign objections regarding India’s decision to formally recognize 27 geographical features across the state, official representatives asserted that no external statements can alter the indisputable reality of India’s territorial integrity. The diplomatic position was detailed following reports of routine patrol interactions along the Taksing circle in Upper Subansiri district, where ground personnel followed established banner protocols to prevent miscalculation.
The recent military situation was comprehensively reviewed during the 36th Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China border affairs, where delegates focused on preserving stability along the border.
“At this meeting, the two sides engaged in frank discussions and reviewed the situation along the Line of Actual Control,” stated Randhir Jaiswal. “The Indian side again underlined that maintaining peace and tranquillity in the border areas is essential for the overall development of bilateral relations.”
He maintained that both nations concurred on utilizing existing military and diplomatic avenues, including commander-level dialogues, to resolve pending border issues in a calm and structured manner.
Alongside ongoing diplomatic coordination, regional infrastructure initiatives are continuing as planned, with state leadership moving forward to develop Taksing into a dedicated cultural and tourism destination.
