Mumbai, September 5: The Mumbai police have issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, in connection with a ₹60 crore cheating case, officials said on Friday.
The LOC was issued by the city’s Economic Offences Wing as the couple frequently travels abroad, an official said. The circular is designed to alert immigration and border control authorities, preventing the individuals from leaving the country or tracking their movements.
A case against the couple was registered at Juhu police station on August 14 after they were accused of duping a businessman of nearly ₹60 crore in a loan-cum-investment deal, the official added.
“The LOC is a standard procedure to ensure the individuals under investigation do not evade the legal process while the case proceeds,” he said.
The Economic Offences Wing is continuing its probe into the alleged financial irregularities, and authorities said further updates will be provided as the investigation develops.
