Nangal, Sept. 15: Teachers and staff of Government Senior Secondary Schools across Ludhiana district have donated ₹31,53,000 to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund as part of a collective humanitarian effort.
A delegation of teachers, led by District Education Officer (Secondary) Dimple Madan, formally handed over the contribution to Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains at Nangal on Sunday.
The delegation included Deputy DEO Amandeep Singh, State Sports Committee member Ajit Pal and Physics Lecturer Dinesh Modi.
Minister Bains lauded the gesture, noting that it set an example of public service. “This special contribution of our teachers reflects their compassion and commitment towards society,” he said.
