CHANDIGARH, March 4 —AAP General Secretary Baltej Pannu has assured actor Ammy Virk that the Punjab government is taking active steps to assist his family stranded in the UAE. Following a phone call on March 2, Pannu affirmed that the state is prioritizing the safety of the Virk family amidst the escalating regional instability.
The General Secretary declared that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is keeping a close watch on the developments. He maintained that the Chief Minister would soon initiate contact with the Government of India to leverage diplomatic channels for the family’s safe repatriation. Pannu noted that the administration’s focus remains the protection of all its citizens who find themselves in precarious situations outside the country.
“Mann Govt is with Virk family in this difficult time,” Pannu stated, affirming that the administration is ready to provide any necessary assistance. He asserted that the state’s priority is the safe return of its people and that they are monitoring the ongoing conflict in the Middle East with grave concern.
The conversation mentioned the government’s commitment to its residents, with Pannu stating that they are praying for the restoration of peace in the region. He maintained that the Punjab government would continue to act as a bridge between the affected families and the central authorities. Pannu further declared that the state remains dedicated to ensuring that no Punjabi citizen is left behind in the war-hit region.
