Masks Mandatory in All Health Facilities

by TheReportingTimes

NAHAN, June 4 – The state Health Department has made mask-wearing compulsory across all health facilities after a COVID-19 case was confirmed in the region.

Officials said the move comes as part of heightened precautions following the detection of a COVID-positive woman in Nahan. In its updated advisory, the department has also urged the public to remain vigilant in crowded settings.

“Masks are now mandatory in hospitals and clinics. We also strongly recommend their use in crowded places, especially for the elderly, children, and people with existing health conditions,” the advisory stated.

In addition to masking, the department has reiterated the importance of social distancing and hand hygiene.

“Preventive steps like physical distancing and regular handwashing remain crucial, particularly for those at higher risk,” said a senior health official.

The advisory is part of a broader effort to curb potential transmission and safeguard vulnerable populations in the wake of the new infection.
