Chandigarh, Sept 23: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu called upon senior political figures and institutional heads to address the ongoing investigation involving Akali leader Amarjit Singh Chawla. Speaking during a press conference in Chandigarh, Pannu affirmed that institutional bodies and prominent public representatives must uphold transparency and responsibility when serious grievances are brought forward by citizens.
Pannu asserted that institutional leaders, including SGPC heads and prominent parliamentarians, have a responsibility to act with urgency and ensure public clarity on administrative decisions. He noted that while certain party representatives have made individual statements defending those involved, overall leadership across the political spectrum has maintained an unexpected silence.
The media in-charge declared that political representatives should maintain consistent standards when responding to matters concerning public welfare and justice. Pannu added that questions regarding the institutional response will continue to be raised until clear explanations are provided to the public.
