MI vs DC Match Highlights

May 21: MI vs DC Match Prediction: The Delhi Capitals will play the Mumbai team on Wednesday. The Mumbai team will go to the playoffs with 16 points if it wins this game, as Delhi can only receive 15 points after this. The Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have all advanced to the playoffs thus far. The fourth-place matchup is between Delhi and Mumbai.

MI vs DC: Chances of Rain During the match

There is a possibility of rain in the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in Mumbai. There is an 80 percent chance of rain in Mumbai on the day of the match and if this happens, then this match can also be canceled. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently changed the rules and added an extra hour to the playing time. This means that in case of rain, one can now wait an hour more.

If the match is canceled, then the points will have to be distributed

If the match to be held on Wednesday at the Wankhede Stadium is canceled due to rain, then both the teams will get one point each. In such a situation, Mumbai will have 15 points and Delhi will have 14 points. In this situation, Delhi will have to win its last match at all costs and pray that Punjab Kings also defeat Mumbai Indians. This will leave Mumbai with only 15 points and Delhi will become the fourth team to reach the playoffs with 16 points. On the other hand, if the match is cancelled, Mumbai will have to win their last match against Punjab so that they can qualify for the playoffs and no matter how big a win Delhi registers against Punjab, they will not be able to reach the playoffs.

The relief is that there is a 50 percent chance of rain in the evening and as the day progresses, the sky is likely to clear. However, in this situation, it will have to be seen how quickly the ground staff is able to dry the ground so that the ground can be ready for the match. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal has also requested to hold the match in some other city in view of the possibility of rain.

New IPL rules

The IPL had made new rules on Tuesday, under which an additional one hour has been kept for the remaining group stage matches and playoffs of the IPL from May 20. This means that now the cutoff time of the match will be 11:56 pm. Earlier, the cutoff time in case of rain was 10:56 pm. Now the five over match can be started by 11:56 so that the match can be ended somehow.
