Chandigarh, October 31, 2025 — As Punjab continues to rebuild from recent floods and developmental setbacks, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Mission Chardhikala has drawn significant civic engagement, with donations from residents, officials, and non-resident Punjabis fuelling the state-led relief and recovery effort.
Government officials said the initiative, launched to strengthen public participation in rebuilding the state’s economy, has received contributions from across districts and the Punjabi diaspora. The collected funds are being directed toward disaster relief, rehabilitation, and infrastructure improvement.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora handed over ₹55.62 lakh collected from donors and party workers, while Laljit Singh Bhullar contributed ₹28.81 lakh gathered in the Patti constituency. Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh donated ₹12.48 lakh towards assistance for families affected by this year’s floods.
“The citizens of Punjab have shown remarkable awareness and cooperation. Their support reflects collective ownership of the state’s future,” Mann said, adding that “every contribution is a reflection of trust, not just charity.”
The Chief Minister reiterated that all financial transactions under the mission would be publicly available through the government’s official transparency portal, rangla.punjab.gov.in. Officials said the portal tracks donations and disbursement details in real time.
Beyond financial support, the mission is intended to reinforce a framework for long-term community resilience and partnership between citizens and the government. Officials said it marks a shift from top-down governance to participatory public engagement.
Mann said Mission Chardhikala embodies the “spirit of faith and courage” that defines Punjab, and aims to ensure that relief funds are used efficiently to restore livelihoods and build stronger local systems.
