MOHALI, October 14: The Mohali district administration will implement revised collector rates from October 23, officials announced on Tuesday. Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said the rates have been rationalised following detailed consultations with stakeholders to ensure property transactions reflect realistic market values and facilitate a smoother registration process.
Mittal chaired the monthly review meeting of the Revenue Department, assessing ongoing initiatives and monitoring key projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and transparency in land and revenue administration.
During the meeting, she reviewed progress under the Svamitva Scheme, mutation pendency, and the performance of the Revenue Court Management System. She emphasised timely preparation, consignment, and live updates of Jamabandis, as well as recoveries under Section 47-A and pending court cases at the SDM and tehsildar levels. Progress on recoveries by CROs and resolution of citizen complaints received through WhatsApp were also discussed.
Infrastructure upgrades in revenue offices, updates of cadastral maps, and inspection reports from ADC (G), SDMs, and CROs for the previous month were examined. The meeting also addressed issues related to rapat entries in Jamabandis under 3A and 3D notifications, mutation approvals for NHAI (MoRTH), and verification of valuation for trees, pipelines, and structures by Patwaris. Segment-wise Khasra mapping and other administrative matters were reviewed in detail to ensure smooth implementation of policies.
