New Delhi, March 31 —A joint team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Delhi Police seized narcotics worth ₹27.4 crore and arrested five people in Delhi-NCR, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Monday.
Shah said the operation was part of the government’s zero-tolerance policy against drugs. “The NCB and Delhi Police grabbed the gang by its throat and recovered methamphetamine, MDMA, and cocaine worth ₹27.4 crore,” he wrote on X, lauding the agencies for the major breakthrough.
The minister affirmed that the government’s crackdown on the drug trade will continue.
