May 13, IPL 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the remaining match schedule following the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. On May 17, the IPL will resume. Six grounds will host all of the games. On June 3, the final game will take place.
There will be another Punjab vs Delhi match.
The BCCI decided to postpone the IPL for a week due to the tension between India and Pakistan. The Punjab Kings vs. Delhi Capitals game in Dharamsala was one of 58 games played during the 18th season. This match was inconclusive since it was stopped in the middle. The BCCI has now chosen to reschedule this match, though. Both teams will play each other in Jaipur on May 24.
The updated schedule has two double headers
The schedule for the final 17 IPL 2025 matches was revealed by the BCCI on Monday. Six venues—Bangladesh, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad—will host the remaining games. There are two double headers on the updated schedule as well. On May 18, the first double header will take place. The Delhi Capitals will play the Gujarat Titans in Delhi that same day in the evening, while the Rajasthan Royals will play the Punjab Kings in Jaipur on Sunday afternoon. The second doubleheader is scheduled for May 25 at the same time. The Gujarat Titans will play the Chennai Super Kings on Sunday afternoon, and Sunrisers Hyderabad will play the Kolkata Knight Riders at 7:30 p.m. On May 28, May 31, and June 2, there won’t be any games.
What time will the playoffs begin?
The playoffs will start on May 29. The first qualifying match is scheduled for May 29. The eliminator will be held on May 30.The final match is scheduled for June 3, and the second qualifier is scheduled for June 1. These four matches’ locations will be revealed later
At the top of the table is Gujarat
Prior to the postponement of the IPL 2025 season, the Gujarat Titans team had the top spot in the standings. After eight victories and three defeats in 11 games, Gujarat had 16 points and was in top place. With the same number of points in the same number of games as Gujarat, RCB was in second place. The Mumbai Indians finished fourth, and Punjab came in third. While the Delhi Capitals, KKR, and Lucknow Super Giants remained in the running for the playoffs, CSK, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals were eliminated.
