Batala, March 21 — Police demolished the house of alleged drug smuggler Jeevan Kumar, a resident of Gandhi Nagar Camp in Batala, on Thursday as part of the state’s ‘Yudh Nashiyan Virudh’ campaign.
SSP Suhail Qasim Mir said Kumar had three cases registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at various police stations.
“It is clear that he has been involved in drug smuggling for a long time. There are clear instructions from the chief minister and the DGP to take strict action against anyone in the drug trade,” the SSP said.
