Chandigarh, Dec 8: A “pleasant and productive” meeting was held in Seoul on Monday between Punjab officials and Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd Chairman Jung Won Joo as the state renewed its push for global investment.
Punjab government representatives said they hope to shape a greener, more resilient industrial future by partnering with global players. “We are committed to offering full cooperation and all necessary support for Daewoo E&C’s investment plans,” an official said after the meeting.
Jung conveyed his interest in exploring opportunities in Punjab and confirmed his participation in the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit to be held in 2026.
Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd is a major South Korean multinational firm known for large-scale infrastructure projects, including transport networks, industrial plants, smart cities, and energy developments. The company operates across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, and is considered one of South Korea’s most established global construction brands.
