Mansa, Feb 24: A major developmental push for the Sardulgarh region was unveiled today as Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann initiated work on a Rs 24.5-crore Industrial Training Institute. The event served as a platform for the Chief Minister to outline his vision for the state’s industrial and agricultural future while reviewing the performance of past political rivals.
The Chief Minister noted that the state has successfully provided 63,000 jobs during his term and is continuing to expand vocational opportunities. Along with the ITI, Mann declared that Rs 14.76 crore has been allocated for the Sardulgarh sewerage system and over Rs 12 crore for three new power grids. He asserted that these investments are designed to modernize a region that he claimed was neglected by the SAD, Congress, and BJP.
Referring to the agricultural sector, the Chief Minister accused previous leaders of misleading the public during the farm laws agitation. He stated that his government is focused on practical solutions, such as the 158 km of new irrigation channels currently under development. Regarding fiscal responsibility, Mann maintained that his administration is vigilant against corruption in public works and sand mining.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister shared an interaction with local students who highlighted the lack of nearby educational facilities. “I have signed the letter in this regard and informed Harjot Bains as well,” he stated, referring to plans to reduce the distance students must travel for schooling.
Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian and various local MLAs were present as the village panchayat presented the Chief Minister with a traditional wooden plough. State officials affirmed that the new ITI will feature five specialized trainers to help bridge the skill gap in the local labor market.
